The team at Legacy Bowes is thrilled to announce that Adam Nepon has joined the organization as the new Director of Business Development with Talent Acquisition Services.
Nepon was born and raised in Winnipeg and identifies as both Ashkenazi Jewish and Red River Métis. He has a breadth of experience that spans across industries with backgrounds in business development, human resources, marketing and sales, and strategic organizational planning. As a member of CPHR-MB and a CPHR Candidate, Nepon is currently working towards his designation.
Nepon holds an MBA with a specialized degree focused on Indigenous Business and Economy from the University of Manitoba. While completing his MBA he established himself as an Independent Contractor offering business consulting services and in 2019 joined a healthcare organization as Partner-Business Development.
“I’m excited to join the Legacy Bowes team because I knew that I would be joining a team of passionate and knowledgeable professionals and an organization with decades of experience,” Nepon said. “That type of longevity in business comes with so much tacit knowledge that has been shared throughout the organization to ensure our clients are having the best experience while working with Legacy Bowes.”
Nepon will be joining the talent acquisition team, which is led by Donna Bilodeau, Vice President, Talent Acquisition Services. This new position will complement Bilodeau’s new strategic business and operational direction that will see an expanded scope of services to best meet the needs of clients.
“We have built an amazing team of professionals, researchers, and support staff that provide our clients the best possible service and outcomes. With his cross-sector experience, knowledge, and perspectives, Adam is a great fit for our team and I’m excited for the direction for talent acquisition services,” Bilodeau said.
Nepon will also be benefiting from the mentorship and guidance of Legacy Bowes Partner Lisa Cefali, whose role has recently transitioned from being operations focused to an advisor for the team.
Legacy Bowes is part of the TIPI Group of Companies, which has become a “one-stop-shop” for clients by offering professional advisement and access to services including talent acquisition services, human resources services, learning and development services, property and casualty insurance, group pension and benefits, group benefits administration, and a Truth and Reconciliation for business initiative.
In addition to his excitement of joining Legacy Bowes, Nepon explained he is also looking forward to being a part of the TIPI Group of Companies as he is a passionate advocate for the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Call to Actions and how this applies to Indigenous economic development.
“This is where I hoped my career journey would lead me,” Nepon said. “Being within the TIPI Group of Companies will ensure that I am always working towards Indigenous economic development and that my actions are well guided throughout my personal Reconciliation journey.”
