Course Overview
While supervisors typically like to focus on the positive, the supervisor’s job is to manage inappropriate employee behavior as soon as it occurs. Sometimes this means you need to speak to an employee about a workplace infraction and/or some form of conflict. Therefore, supervisors need to apply higher level skills in dealing with this conflict while ensuring a fair, consistent and transparent process. This program provides an overview of how to deal manage the difficult conversations that accompany conflict in the workplace.

Mental Wellness in the Workplace

Mental health wellness is often overlooked as priority in the workplace. Employees may be reluctant to share personal information while managers who want to help don’t know what to do. While investing in mental wellness in the workplace is worth the investment, it takes effort and time. This program will outline the complexity and growing priority of mental health wellness in the workplace and how this can be integrated into all areas of human resources.

Employee relations and engagement are strategies that managers use to develop and maintain a positive, productive, and cohesive work environment. Participants will be helped to understand the concept of employee relations and will teach a set of tools and techniques to manage the complex work challenges and prevent calls for unionization.
